Biography

David joined Kirbys in 2013, becoming Head of Dispute Resolution in 2015 and he is now one of the four Directors. Before returning to legal practice in 2005 David was a senior lecturer in Litigation at the College of Law and wrote and delivered the course content and textbook for the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence.

David’s work focusses on dispute resolution of all types such as contentious probate (wills and estates), professional negligence and commercial disputes.

David is friendly and down to earth but assertive and focussed to achieve the best outcome for his clients.

David is also the risk and compliance manager for Kirbys ensuring that the Practice is adhering to the many regulatory and other requirements necessary.

When not at his desk David likes to spend time outside walking in the hills in his native North East or in the Scottish Highlands.
