Biography

Roger joined Kirbys in 1990 and leads the Property Team. He is one of the four Directors of Kirbys and is the longest standing member of the Management / Executive Team.

Roger qualified at a large Leeds practice in a highly regarded property department. Throughout his career he has acted for clients ranging from private individuals to various public companies, his practice areas being development work, business leases and the sale and purchase of substantial country properties and estates.

As well as attention to detail, Roger also brings to any transaction years of experience of guiding clients through complex negotiations involving multiple parties. In any situation he also keeps an eye on the desired commercial outcome, helped in this by having been for so long a business owner himself.

As a result, Roger has built up relationships with long-term clients – based on high levels of mutual trust – many of which now run into 20 years or more.

Outside of the office, Roger is a keen runner and skier, and he works on his communication skills and teamwork by sailing competitively with his wife.
